Nothing Clever...Really

I'm still here.

Just lacking motivation to do anything but the bare minimum of everything just to get by.  I'm not sure if I'm depressed, or just bored.

That said, I have made some observations this week:

Heh,

You got tricked by the old Canadian Bacon, huh? I got tipped off as to what that actually was the summer I worked at Big Boy. I don't think I've ever wanted Eggs Benedict ever since...though no one ever bothered to point out that's what they use on Egg McMuffins.

Darn Canadians, they're tricky, no?

=)

I agree with the boxed bacon, that it just seems wrong. But I guess people like it, or they wouldn't keep making it.

It could be akin to beef jerky. Real bacon, but dried and full with tons more sodium than regular bacon already has.

Climax, Mi. There's also an Intercourse, PA. Somewhere, I'm sure there's a Money Shot, FL, or maybe a Rimming, NM. Yikes.

I forgot all about Intercourse, PA!

And you're right. I shudder to think how much salt is probably in that boxed bacon crap.

Yuck!

Ugh, precooked bacon! My dad has been getting this for years. Except he gets it in like...a ziplock baggy from Sam's Club, with 72 strips to a bag!

It's ok, but nothing can beat real bacon cooked up :[

I must be late on the precooked bacon because I'm just know finding out about this stuff. I guess I've never seen it as prominently displayed as it was the other day.

As much as the idea of an instant BLT appeals to me, I can't see myself keeping a box of that crap in my desk at work.

Just can't do it.

I thought it was Blue BELL, PA.

There's a Blue Ball too?

Oh well, then there's also Bumpass, VA. I always get a kick outta that one.

Fully cooked bacon that's not refrigerated? I dun get it. Haha on the toner thing, I totally get it.

Re: Janet
I loved "Control" when it came out I. We often listened to it in warm-up for basketball games because, well, I couldn't get them to listen to anything I liked. She has some OK stuff on Rhythym Nation 1812 or whatever and I absolutely love "If". After that, I wish I was never aware she made any music. Isn't it weird how she plays up the shy thing unless she's in a video sexing it up? weird.

I would like to take this time to thank you. Because of that comment, I remembered a mix tape I made for the b-ball team. I hadn't remembered this song in 20 years. I am looking on Soulseek this very moment. Google tells me it's Kurtis Blow, you could have offered me $1M and I wouldn't remember.

What Kurtis Blow song it is? I wanna play too!!

And IMO, Janet hasn't had a good album since The Velvet Rope album.

Control was awesome (80's music FTW!), Rhythm Nation was cool, the Janet album was pretty good too...but now I wish she and Mariah would just stop.

And they both could use a "makeUNDER" at this point.

I looked up Janet's discography. With the exception of "If", it seems I only liked Control & Rhythm Nation. And that song she did with Michael... Scream? Yes, time to quit. for goddamned real. but... then she'd have to face herself...

Oh yeah, it's 17 years for Mariah, she can quit it now. I was happy that she didn't become a total disaster - another pop-tart that had crumbled (after that Glitter fiasco), but this does NOT mean I like her music.

It's "Basketball" by Kurtis Blow. It's so cute, I will send if you give me your e-mail. So funny, the players mentioned are almost Senior Citizens. Some probably are. I just love the cadence of this.

Ha! Yes! Please send that to me at soulsauce26@yahoo.com!

Too funny! I can name and picture all but probably one or two of those players. Lord a mercy I'd forgotten all about Adrian Dantley!

I remember Ralph Sampson used to wear those long knee high socks and with those long legs he looked like he wore the tallest socks ever!

But clearly Dr. J was his favorite.

Hard to argue with that one. That man was a thing of beauty to watch on the court.
