In History class today we watched this interesting movie called Archangel which theorized/guessed/fantasized about what/if Stalin had another 'secret' son who would rise again to take over his Russian empire when the mighty dictator died. We haven't finised it but I definitely encourage all you fellow historians to watch it. Daniel Craig's in it. ( Read more... )

Depending on what means of backup you have, and how much you need to backup from your computer. I myself am using DVDs nowadays, but years ago I used to be okay with just plain old diskettes. I still use diskettes to get stuff from/to my job's computer, which is a relic and has no USB ports (Pentium II, too stubborn to die, and my boss is too stubborn to replace it until it dies. "If it works, don't fix it," my ass.)

If you go the DVD way, the best program out there, as far as I know, is Nero.

Alternatively, I use Flash RAM to move stuff from one computer to another when they aren't physically connected (through LAN or internet) but those little sticks could also be used to keep a backup of a computer's important data, I suppose.

Thanks. I'll try that Nero program and work from there. Might go the DVD way seeing as I have those already. <3

O hai there, Daniel Craig. I just might have to watch this movie. lol At first though, it reminded me of the debate on whether Hitler should be cloned to see if he'll make a different choice in life.

You can try looking at the programs they have on cnet.com. They usually have free trials and stuff.

Yeah the movie had a 'Davinci Code' vibe to it but definitely interesting.

And thanks!
