Who: Irie Shouichi | sfortunato & Eve | guanosine What: A little (much-needed) company. Where: Generic Busted Apartment #51 When: not long after the recent event begins.
It wasn't the dizzying feeling that made her heart race, it was the scent and taste of blood surrounding her on all sides. Fear was a rare emotion for Eve and every time the feeling began to course through her veins it was unwelcome. Especially now of all times because she wanted to be the calm one, the person who was completely and utterly unfazed by these plane changes.
But she wasn't.
In the end she was still just a child and no matter how much of that Toreno had taken away from her in the past overtime she slowly relearned all these feelings. Perhaps in the end it was what would keep her alive, but she didn't feel that she could think as rationally, and that made her irate. So, why not twist that fear into some form of anger and irritability? At least a harshness to your voice didn't make you sound weak. It didn't make her feel so small and helpless. Why was it that when it seemed that she found a small thing to cling to, some form of reality or calmness that it could shatter in an instant? Why was everything in this hellhole so

He tried to ignore his heart nearly leaping up into his throat at the sound of someone knocking on the door. He'd thought he had calmed down from earlier but for some reason he still felt... jumpy.
Walking towards the door with bare feet and a hand nervously twirling still-damp hair, he was quickly face to face with his guest. Not wanting her to be out in the rain (if you could call it that) a moment longer, he ushered her inside.
Until now, they'd only talked over the communicator. Really, that was how Shouichi got about 90% of his interaction. He was something of a shut-in. She's shorter than I thought she'd be...
A quick glance out before shutting the door again, he exhaled. There really wasn't any way for him to articulate his thoughts. "I-it's really bad out there..."
He'd settle for using a lackluster vocabulary, even at risk of sounding like an idiot.
A rush of are that didn't smell of blood filled her lungs and for a moment she felt relieved. God, being surrounded of that of all things. It brought back so much memories, all of them unpleasant, and even Eve knew that you couldn't run away from the past.
"Well, it certainly isn't a walk through the park." No. It wasn't. The girl's shoulders were still tense and as subtle as it was, it didn't feel subtle at all to Eve. She was still afraid and she absolutely despised her for it. It's just a plane shift of sorts.
Shaking his head a bit, he shut the door. "Aa, let me get you a towel..." he started as he walked down the hall to a linen cabinet. For a living space with such limits he tried his best to keep it relatively clean. (As clean as one could with a raccoon hanging around, any way.) Sort of amusing, considering he was normally pretty sloppy with his belongings.
"I appreciate you going out of your way." he handed her a clean towel. Now that he thought on it, he'd never had a guest of any kind here. Then again, his social skills were less than stellar. Though the company was nice in the event of this current change to Nuadoria. He'd only been through them alone before. Maybe with someone around it would be ... easier?

Maybe he was one.

"Um, I'm boiling some tea..."
That was usually what one did for a guest, right?
