Who: Eike Kusch, Chief Warden Tamaki, Bellatrix Lestrange, Regulus Black, Sirius Black, Elena, and OPEN. What: The carnival. Where: The fountain area. When: September 15; late afternoon to evening.
It was everything she had heard about and more. A Ferris Wheel. Animals. Food. Everything. Shiro threw her arms in the air and twirled. If only Ganta was there with her, everything would be perfect.
She looked at the fire on the Ferris wheel. It was so beautiful and magnificent. Her hands were pressed to her mouth, only barely covering her grin. Ganta would probably find it a little scary, but she would make sure to reassure him! It wouldn't be hard. They were free. They could do whatever they wanted including riding the Ferris wheel

Eike wandered about the carnival area, worrying ever so often about Ganta and those involved with him. He had pulled his mask up so that he could easily look around before catching sight of white in the corner of his eye. Hurrying to hide -- as to not break the illusion of who was the juggler, regardless of how obvious it was, he lowered his mask back down over his face. Hoping that he was not seen without it. Peeking out from behind one of the stands, he was cheered to see that someone had both come and enjoying themselves. I suppose this counts as a first customer. He smiled underneath the mask, wondering if that was actually the right terminology for those who visited the carnival. It was not as though they were going to get any proceeds or money for this. If he was allowed to be sappy, he supposed that they were paying with their smiles and good-will. But, if he said something like that aloud, someone would probably laugh

Elena strolled around the perimeter, her chin up, her back straight, and her suit looking spotlessly pressed and cleaned. She'd lost count of how many times she'd made the circuit, but she was determined that nothing was going to miss her attention.
Clasping her hands behind her back, she let her gaze fall over the various rides, games, and shows. To say she was impressed would be an understatement. Elena had actually been expecting a small street fair with a couple of stores and maybe a busker or two. But Eike had gone all out. She wondered how he'd found the resources for all this.
Elena pulled her eyes away from the amusements with some difficulty. They were bright and colourful and looked like a lot of fun, but she was on duty. Relaxing was for holidays, and even then, she still secretly believed that a proper Turk should always be ready for work at a moment's notice.

The first time Tseng had turned up in Nuadoria, he had turned up in the fountain.
...He was very much relieved to find that his second appearance (however unwelcome, his mind was quick to point out -- he'd literally been in the middle of a good cup of coffee) was somewhat removed from that suit destroying patch of water.
He had to admit, though, that falling flat onto one's posterior onto the street corner was a much harder landing. It was just as well that Turks weren't made of glass.
He took a moment to brush off his suit while looking around, mentally relegating the mental tirade of What why this again to the back of his mind while assessing the surroundings. Nuadoria looked different. Bright and shiny and colourful? It reminded him of the casino incident, which seemed a little distant -- how long, he wondered -- but this was so much more down to earth. So much more friendly

Ah, this was laughable. It really was. And honestly, Namae had a hard time believing what he was seeing -- had that idiot optimist actually been stupid enough to try and carry out a carnival in this shithole? Unbelievable. Abso-fucking-lutely unbelievable

Spike had to hand it to him, they'd really been busy. As much as he tried to ignore all the magic talk going around, he couldn't think of how else they would have pulled it off. Which was probably why he didn't like thinking about those things.
The crowds were easy enough to blend into, but it made it a lot harder to spot who he was looking for. And as he eyed what looked like some bizarre petting zoo, it quickly occurred to him that he never liked carnivals. He hadn't run across Eike yet, but odds were someone there might have some leads for him. Maybe. Spike wouldn't really put it past Genkaku to show up himself and cause a scene. He wouldn't want to miss that.
It wasn't long before he decided watching at a distance would work just as well. Pausing by the side of a building, he pulled out a cigarette. As he was lighting it, he noticed that cat of his playing with the rope of what looked like an old fashioned guillotine. He exhaled and pretended to be distracted by the gaudy looking balloons blowing in the wind.
It had to be fate. A disgustingly cliche word, of course -- fate, serendipity, destiny, and such -- but hey, what else could you call such a perfect coincidence

Spike kept on looking away when he heard barking. He could guess what was happening, but he really wasn't in the mood for dealing with animals. Whoever thought they'd make good gifts obviously wasn't taking any suggestions from him. It wasn't until he heard them getting closer that he stifled a groan and turned back

Ganta didn't want to be there. The fact that he was, didn't have anything to do with his confidence. He'd almost rather be back at the prison than run the chance of being seen by some of the people at the carnival. And actually having fun there was the last thing on his mind

Eve never really intended to go to this damnable event in the first place. Yes, damnable because of the absolute moron who decided to put it on in the first place. Why, if she was more irritated than she normally was, she'd have half the mind to give him a good kick in the teeth. What sort of fool could just blatantly believe people whom were obviously the bad guys here.
It didn't take long for her to find Ganta among the crowd. The girl simply didn't pay any mind to the animals or events in general. They were all not of any interest. Unless, of course, they seemed to be extremely destructive. Eve approached him with a rather unfriendly expression. Red eyes gazed at him, clearly showing that she was irritated. (This whole place was annoying her.)
"Ganta." She nodded in greeting. "Are you feeling any better?"
It hadn't been very long, a few minutes maybe, before someone spotted him. Ganta was staring off at what he thought looked like a Ferris wheel, wondering where it came from, when he saw Eve walking towards him.
He noticed her expression right away, but he didn't want his nerves to show and did what he could to hide them. It wasn't that odd for her, really. He shouldn't be surprised that she'd want to check up on him again so soon. Even after a few days, the bruises on his face were only beginning to fade; it'd be stupid to pretend it never happened when she saw... And it made it a lot harder to answer those kinds of questions.
"I'm fine," he muttered without making eye contact. As unfair as his life had been lately, he didn't want to attract any more pity. Instead of focusing on that, he pointed towards the carnival. Ganta meant to sound optimistic, but it came out forced, "At least it doesn't look that bad yet."
