But she kind of liked to think that was part of her charm, and besides, she had supplies she needed to obtain and she also had to keep a lookout for people who were possibly injured and needed assistance. It was the least she could do, honestly, and Lucrecia wasn't the type to let a few monsters or two or a hundred stop her from doing anything.
Foolish, yes. Stupid, well. That was debatable.
Then again, most of the people she had known her in her life would have quite readily told her that foolishness and stupidity often went hand in hand, but those were typically the types of people she didn't listen much to, anyway. She would have probably gotten herself into fewer messes if she had listened when ( ... )

"Well, it looks like you got into a rather nasty fight with a chocobo," she replied lightly, voice still soft and quiet and strangely calm, with a cluck of her tongue. "Though I don't think chocobos can really sustain this sort of damage to any one person."
He looked tired, and that was understandable, given his current state. The wounded had a habit of always looking exhausted and worn, considering... well, typically, they were exhausted and worn. Losing blood never did one's body much good, after all, and fighting in general was a quick way to wear a person down, both physically and mentally.
Lucrecia didn't say anything at all for a few minutes. She didn't move, either, and stayed knelt on the floor in front of him, palms resting on her knees as she looked him over. It was impossible to tell just how injured he actually was, given the poor lighting in the room, but it was obvious that he was extremely far from being okayHe looked young. As those few minutes of silence passed, Zero continued to focus on his breathing; in & out, though unfortunately never too deep. He'd learned that lesson the hard way. Although whatever had attacked him didn't manage to get Zero in the lungs, he could feel each breath in his abdomen. At times the pain was almost too much, ignorant of Zero's high tolerance.
Lucrecia. It wasn't a name that Zero could say he was familiar with, though he knew that he probably heard her voice over the network at least once ( ... )
