Sakura had finished getting everything prepared--it had been awhile since she'd had to assemble all her medical supplies; this had been the first for Nuadoria--and had made her way over to the church in the shortest time possible. After seeing Nuadoria destroyed once, she wasn't prepared to see it destroyed again. And especially by something that they had the chance to stop. She drew level with the church, spotting Sasuke. "Sasuke-kun," she greeted calmly, although he looked a little worse for wear in her opinion.
Angeal approached slowly, assessing the group gathered from a distance. It was heartening to hear of so many willing to protect the city, but he would have to evaluate how capable they were before he would suggest that any join the fight. They had been unorganized in the past and lives had been lost; he wouldn't see that happen again. Yet it wasn't the first time that they had faced one of these monsters. The SOLDIER was confident that they could defeat it.
The air was starting to settle in his lungs and he gave a dislodging cough as he entered. Whatever they decided, it needed to be done quickly. It left little time for introductions.
"Thank you for setting the meeting," he started with a quick nod to the dark haired boy. "How many do we have?"
Sasuke looked up as people filtered in. As each person came in, he looked at them, trying to figure out if he had met them before. Sakura. That was it. The other two he had seen around, either in the network, or passing by them, but he had never gotten to know them or what their names were. He nodded to them in greeting and turned to the older man answering quickly, "I had five say they'd come help
( ... )
Demyx had materialized a ways off. Had he been able to hear Sasuke's inner thoughts about no cowards, he might have taken off right then. However, he hesitantly approached the group. He asked himself for the twentieth time why he was even doing this.
Because if I work with them it'll go away faster! he retorted to his inner voice. One person can't kick butt on that thing....well, maybe they can, but it's not me.
He gave a wave that conveyed greater nonchalance then he felt and went to stand by Angeal.
If there was one thing Zack had decided through all of this was he definitely didn't like this plane. And he definitely didn't like this monster, either, from last time. Although he didn't fight Azmeth the last time they were plagued with his presence, the young SOLDIER was willing to step up this second time to help out as there weren't three others to have to contend with.
His brief conversation with Angeal had been somewhat encouraging, suggesting that some people would be there to take initiative of the situation. And Zack didn't come alone, either, Cloud accompanying him.
As he approached the group, he was at least familiar with two of them, and he flashed a smile to Sakura and Demyx in greeting. Didn't know them, but he was sure he would soon enough. "Sorry we're late!" he chirped, as if it really mattered. Hell if it did, late for what? The monster was already roaming around. He was really just glad they hadn't left without them yet.
