OKAY YOU WILL PROBABLY BE ASKED A MILLION TIMES BUT ME FIRST.

How do you do the painty thingy. Like, in theory I know how, and I have a tablet and can paint just fine, but not on icons because it looks stupid every time. So I suppose my real question is: how do you brushes? How do you get your brushes to fade like normal brushes should without smudging and on a small canvas? And is it something that can be done on CS4?

Also, where do you get your cool fancy handwriting and/or decorative outliney fonts?

I suck at sentences right now but my question is basically what everyone who commented at that secret (I wasn't there but shifty eyes lollll I saw/know errything).

YEAH YAY THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS!

Even though Shawna can't do sentences right now, I second everything she said!

Probably you've been asked this a lot of times, but what are your favorite fonts (other than your handwriting lol), and what are your favorite effects to apply to texts?

LOL IT'S AS IF YOU KNEW I'D SAY MY HANDWRITING. lD Off the top of my head it'd be League Gothic, Rockwell, Futura LT Condensed Extra Bold, & Ostrich Sans. There's more fonts I like but these are my absolute favs off the top of my head. lD LAWL NONE BC I'M BASIC. :V The only thing I like applying to my text is drop shadow.

Hello! TY FOR WATCHING! ;A; ALSO LATE, SRY

WHERE TO BEGIN TBH

I guess the main thing I want to ask is how you cut subjects out. It's usually such a hassle for me personally that I end up giving up, but you do it so wonderfully!

Also, the paintlike colors! Howww?

Seconding this. My processing for cutting out people from images is tedious, so any tips would be helpful.

Start big & then resize. ;D The bigger the better, it'll look so much nicer in icon size. THAT ALSO DEPENDS ON CAPS THO, I KNOW THERE'S SOME CAPS THAT RESIZE TERRIBLY. D:

I'll usually start out with the image in it's regular size, the bigger the better imo. I then cut the image around the edges & resize. I find that extracting it while the cap/pic/scan is huge & then resizing it to w/e the icons size really helps keeping it clean.

Ahahaha I think that comes from years of practice! There's no way of making it easy imo. I've been extracting scans for so many years that I just happened to get better at it as time went by. lD I know I'm not making sense so I'm sorry about that. ;A; If you'd like some pointers I know there's tutorials out there that explain the process so much better than I ever could & do it somewhat like I do... There's this really nifty tutorial @ good-tutorial that could probably help you understand it better. If you're asking me how to make it easier then idk. D: I'M SORRY, SHIT I SUCK AT THIS. ;A;

Looook abooovvvveeeee.

ALSO SO SO SO SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY. I SUCK. ;A;

I would just like to know how you choose the textures your adding the background and how you add them all together really, also where you get your textures from :)

Like my compositions? I make it up as I go. Whatever happens to inspire me happens to my canvas. lD I know this is like the most ridiculous answer ever but I never know how to explain how I do things like this. It's like asking me how I brush my teeth. lD

Well that depends on what textures you're talking about tbh. Some of my textures are handmade by me or made as I make the icon but some of the others I get from all over the place. Some of my favorites are from aquatilitis, distractiions, defaultsettings & soaked. Their textures are the ones that give my icons get their shape~
