[Justin is situated in what appears to be, from the limited view the camera offers, a library. (Were the camera to pan out, it would become clear that this is indeed his corner of the forensics laboratory.) It's quiet here--a stark contrast to the noise outside. Justin looks contemplative.]
You're all still here.
[It's impossible to tell

...Where are you?

Because you always bluff and I want to see you.

[Which is to say, come find me if you want to. Not that he cares. Obviously.]

[And yeah, he's finding you, Richard. A part of him would really like to punch Richard in the face--repeatedly--but mostly, he just wants to see a Richard that's not mashed on the rocks or a figment of his imagination. It'd be a lot easier if Justin could just hate him properly.]

He is, of course; as conflicted as Justin in his own way, vengeful and jealous and exceedingly pleased that even after all this time, he clearly has enough of a hold on the other boy to drag him out into the streets.]

Richard stands out in the way that only Richard can. Justin takes a moment to steel his nerves. This will almost inevitably be a disaster, but turning around now is an impossibility.]
Richard.
[For his part, Justin hasn't changed outwardly. He's wearing the same button-up shirts and the same look of indifference as ever (and the latter, as it ever was, is as much an act as Richard's apparent disinterest).]

Well, lookit you.
[He doesn't stand immediately, leaning and stretching to slip the comm into a pocket of his jeans. He's leisurely, as though they've got all the time in the world to catch up-- like they've just met after classes, off to set the world aflame. It's almost too normal, and he takes pains to be at ease. To remind Justin that even if he can change, he can't escape.
Composed, he hops to his feet and closes the difference between them. You're getting a mildly creepy hug, Justin, because Richard still thinks he owns you. Possession and affection are almost the same thing, right?]

And you. You look better than you did the last time I saw you.
[The hug is definitely creepy--moreso than it might have been before. It's odd how difficult it is to see how destructive a relationship is when you're in it; time away--time to think--has done wonders. Still, Justin doesn't pull away. Richard is his friend (other half? enemy?), even if he's a double-crossing bastard.
He won't admit it, but Justin's glad to see Richard. He wants to hit him, yes, but it's still nice to see him.]

Yeah, well. What'd you expect?
[He dismisses that, pulling away after a moment to look Justin in the eye, sizing him up in some inexplicable fashion. For all his talk, he looks the same as ever.]

[It's an honest answer. Had Justin expected Richard to look different somehow? Act different? Had he really thought that everything that had happened near the end--the betrayal, the shooting, the reckless gunfight with Cassie--might have had an impact on Richard's personality ( ... )

Do we have to talk about that shit?
[After all, his tone suggests, we're friends, right? In spite of all of it, the history of manipulation and betrayal. The funny thing is, he means it; nothing that's happened has shaken his belief that they're connected. After all, in Richard's eyes, he's not the only one who's done something ( ... )
