Try to remain calm.  Earthquakes and days without sunlight might be signs of the apocalypse in your world, but they're not that strange for this place.  Use your network devices for light and don't wander around the City if you don't have to.  There could be more to this curse than darkness.

Justin? You don't think there'll be another earthquake do you? Calm, I can do calm.

I've used my wrist-com for a light before. It's a good idea.

I don't think so, no. The deities don't usually repeat themselves. ...Are you okay?

It's the only option we have today. Cell phones, computers... anything with a screen. I think everyone should stay inside, though. This darkness so soon after an earthquake can't be good.

I'm sc-...I'll be okay. The earthquake broke some of my display cases. I thought something exploded. I'm glad I cleaned up earlier. I can see how some people would think that a big bad thing would happen. The worm is okay. I bet it didn't feel a thing.

Everything will be fine, even if the earthquake and everything are related. Everything's always fine in the end.

Good... I'm glad things are okay, even if you'll need new display cases.

In other words, here the portents of doom will only make us miserable for a few days rather than pit the good against the forces of evil?

Yes. You said it much better than I could have.

I'm accustomed to these types of situations.

Semi-apocalyptic situations, or bizarre situations in general?

Even candles won't stay lit.

That doesn't make sense.

But when does anything make sense...

Yeah... but it makes it more difficult to take this in stride. It's eerie.

One of the City's many endearing features. It's always eerie, if you think about it. How many of us are walking around dead? That's eerie.

I'm not sick...

Are you okay?

And do you want me to fix your filter?

Good. That's good.

Not really, but I'm not sure if it's what it sounds like it is, and even if it is... I don't know.

Yes, please.

Okay, all fixed.

Thank you, Abby.
