the same exact thing happened to my mom. she's a math teacher now and she was the valedictorian of her high school, but when she got to college she got her first C in her math classes. if math is what you really want to do, just stick with it. it makes sense that you'd be doing not so hot in ur major classes b/c they're the ones that get more intense the higher up you go. besides, math is not an easy thing at all to begin with. hang in there!
