I felt so uncomfortable while he was furious and frustrating for being sooo incapacitated, and so relieved when he could hear and move again... a very *palpable* feeling. I could actually hear (and enjoy) the marines' radio chatter, Rodney complaining (for once, with a valid motive), Ronon's worries abt John foot injury from Rodney's hard head and all the other surrounding sounds...

That was such a sweet fic! I liked your (or John's) thoughts on the difference between being afraid and fear - the difference between reaction and paralysis. Really good job.
I wish I had gone more in-depth on the Fear thing, but I was worried it would take away from the rest of the story. All brave/hero people say they are afraid. I always think Fear is just a bigger thing.
