Crap I didn't realize they are tearing it down. For 18 months I lived one block off of Carlisle, one block off of Central, at Copper and Hermosa. The Aztec is a landmark!

it's a big shame what they're doing. it also seemed to house several homeless. and the spurofthemoment artworks!

I discovered this demolition on Saturday, and am DISTRESSED!!! Not that everybody tells me everything, but I had heard no conversation about this.

Me too, i try to keep up on these things myself. but only noticed it as i drove by mid saturday. ive not been back, im hoping they will keep some of it. but who knows. it will probably just become another derelict motel sign, to serve as a gravemarker.
