When Jack had left after Ianto and Stephen's deaths--essentially running from his present, he'd never expected to run into the Doctor in an alien bar, let alone be introduced to a man named Alonso. Jack was a different man now, however, and while he did flirt and introduce himself, he had no intention of even bedding the man. That was the moment that he realized that Ianto had essentially ruined him for life, if only for before Ianto's presence in his life, he would have taken Alonso to bed in a heartbeat

Oh, I just loved this. Thank you, first of all, for dealing with the Alonso situation, because that really bothered me in canon. And my favorite bit is Jack rendering Ianto speechless - only Jack! Lovely. after all, the way to his Ianto's heart had been to irritate him to distraction. Love it!
