Oh, this is just so good, what a great idea! I love the way you wrote Sayid here, and the parts in the brackets are so good of a touch, I love how you vowed the Sayid/Kate snippers here. Sayid killing Sam actually makes me hurt, and

“Either you have a very poor memory, or you're too kind in the way you remember me.” He'll make no pretense as to who he used to be.

this part was just perfect. Because they had met indeed, how do I love connections.

(Sometimes, he can still feel the back of her hand, when he'd pressed it to his lips. He'd tortured one of their own, but the thing he remembers the most is that she hadn't wanted him to leave.)

And I think I'm in love with that one. I loved it!

Oh, I'm so glad you liked this! I knew I was walking a fine line with this one, between Sayid being a little too cold, calculated assassain and being too sentimental (or something) with the Kate bits. So I'm glad it worked for you.

Sayid killing Sam actually makes me hurt
Me too :( I love both characters so much.

Thanks for the lovely comments :)

Fuck me but that's harsh! Extremely well written, but harsh. Z wanted Sayid and angst and you gave her a plateful. Great job. :\

I worried about this being too harsh. I love both Sayid and Sam, so this was a hard one to write. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Not too harsh - perfect for what you were aiming at, but oh so sad in and amongst the angst. Z will love it, I'm sure!

No, no, no, no I don't want this! Not at all! The only thing worse than this would be TPTB forgetting completely about Sam and never having him enter the story again! No killing Sam! (I'm such a hypocrite, eh?)

Anyway, I'm so glad you liked this. That means a lot. I love how you always pick up on exactly what I was trying to say in the story. Sayid is the kind of character that wouldn't hesitate, but would consider that he should hesitate and he would acknowledge that. Because yes, that's exactly what I wanted to come across. So I'm glad it did!

Thank you, honey!

Ooh, this is wonderful! I got chills reading this, srsly. What a brilliant concept, that Sam Austen could be one of Sayid's victims. I love the little parenthetical memories interspersed, and Sayid's sarcastic response to Sam calling him an 'interpreter'. God, I would hate to see this happen - and yet, I loved reading it. Clearly, I am a glutton for punishment!

You totally delivered on my angsty O6 Sayid request! I really, really love this. Thank you so much!
