I've ALWAYS wondered about Laura just storming off in the middle of the night on her own. I swear, there's a big ol' hole in the ship that needs to be filled.

I don't believe he had any idea. She just got up and left, like a bat out of hell. I'd be surprised if they even had time to file a flight plan.
Why does Laura bring Baltar because of his appearance in her vision but not Sharon?
Heh. Perhaps she wanted Baltar close because he was such a weasel, and if there was some Important Revelation concerning him, she wanted him right there where he couldn't hide. (Okay, I'm stretching a bit. But you're right--she should have taken not just Sharon, but also Caprica Six, along for the ride.)
Why does she bring Helo but not Starbuck?
That one's easy! Because RDM needed someone really uptight about Justice and Doing the Right Thing to be present for the destruction of the Resurrection Hub. Leemo couldn't be there because he was busy lawyering, so Helo won the job by default. And as for Kara... well, someone had to save the day back on Galactica, right? :-D
