I really love that you left the status of their maybe-marriage ambiguous. Nicely done! And yay for polishing off one of your WIPs! :D

I'm glad you're happy with the ending! I did think of jumping through time to their reunion or something as an epilogue, but decided this was enough.

How this because a WIP, I'll never know! *sigh*

I love so much about this story but this line sums it all up in one amazing feeling:

I don’t need a ring. You don’t need a tattoo. You and I; we just are.

Wonderful way to bring this series to a close. The vagueness, the gaps, the unknowns really don't matter. Whatever happened Last Night is irrelevant in the light of their love.

Their whole canon relationship is vague with gaps, but it doesn't matter in light of their love either!

Wonderful job, hon. I loved your interplay between present and flashback/stoned hallucination throughout the piece. And how in the end it's all irrelevant anyway, because they know what they have now and to treasure it.

But I know someone's eventually sneaking a peak behind that ear.

Of course you end on the perfect note. Thank goodness you think so! I only changed the ending, oh, 8 or 9 times! LOL

how in the end it's all irrelevant anyway, because they know what they have now and to treasure it. I think they're like that quite a bit. Look at their pasts. Most of the time I don't picture them telling each other all those messy details of their past lovers etc. And if they did, they wouldn't care. They have what is important now.

But I know someone's eventually sneaking a peak behind that ear. Hee. Now I have this funny idea of Saul looking for Bill! LOL!
