Today, io9.com ran a feature about artist Dean Fraser's mock-concept-art for a fictional Star Wars: Empire of the Bat mash-up.

What the hell? How could both of them miss that mash-up? That's terrible.

OK, I'm only noddingly familiar with the larger Star Wars universe, so... how is that obvious?
Also, what the hell is up with some of these choices? I mean, Alfred as C-3PO and Renee as Han, that's genius, but R2-D2 as Robin? Yoda as Harley? Friggin' Darth Vader as BATMAN?! What the hell? Vader is the VILLAIN! I mean, he may have had a change of heart at the last minute, but for the majority of the series he is the villain. Why'd you make the hero the villain, Dean Fraser? What sense does that make? I mean, come on - 'Bat Skywalker'. How would that not have been awesome?

Billy Dee Williams played both Lando Calrissian and Harvey Dent. He's also a duplicitous best friend. Also also, Renee is Han, and that plays with the whole Harvey/Renee thing. But mainly the first one.
