I'm actually really glad they're bringing Harvey up, because he had such a big role in TDK. But I was hoping that it would be because of Bruce actually expressing regret over accidentally killing the man he'd hoped would be his heir. I doubt it would be enough to make me actually care about Bruce's character after all the fail on his part in TDK, but it might help.

*snicker* Yeah, Nolan's Bane does look like Wrestler Zoidberg. I think I will start referring him as that too. Then again, this will probably be the only time I mention Nolan's upcoming movie, since the only thing I liked in TDK was Harvey and I hold Nolan's TDK!Batman in contempt.

I dunno if you've heard, but the film takes place eight years after TDK. I wonder how that's affect the legacy of Saint Harvey either way. I sure as hell it does weigh on Bruce, but somehow, I fear that Nolan's Batman will still be more prone to give lip-service angst to Rachel than to feel any compunction about Harvey's death.

Ugh.... Yeah, I'd probably not be watching it then. TDK should've taken a few years after Batman Begins with the whole Rachel/Harvey thing, instead of just a few months, and now when there's no need for a big time-jump, they're taking it? That's just poor writing.

Good point. Now I'm even more reluctant to watch the next movie.

What makes you say there's no need for a big time jump and declaring it poor writing when so damn little is known about the script? "Jumping the gun" is the phrase that comes to mind.

I like the Bane design apart from the silly knee pads tucked into his boots, but hopefully it looks better in motion on the screen. There's also speculation that it's from some camera trickery applied to mess with Hardy's length and size á la Lord of The Rings, so there's another straw to grasp at.
