A closer look at Two-Face in BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY

Jun 12, 2011 18:33

I've been putting off talking about Batman: Arkham City ever since I read the spoil-tastic description of what seems to encompass Harvey's entire role in the game. On top of that, recent reports on how they plan to depict the Penguin also made me roll my eyes and solidified my apathy towards the game.

No, game creators, Oswald has actually NOT " ( Read more... )

Harvey's Role anonymous June 14 2011, 02:36:27 UTC
Hey, I just stumbled upon this page and thought I'd comment.

Actually Harvey will be in the rest of the game, because Sefton Hill stated that the feud between him and Catwoman will be an ongoing storyline. There's even a shot in the trailer where Catwoman is dodging a rocket launcher, and it seems Harvey is the one who shot it. Hopefully he'll have more to do, but the good side prevailing in the courtroom scene gives me some more hope. I loved the first game (even if the plot was so-so, exploring the Asylum was awesome) and I can't wait for this one.

Welcome, anonymous person! If you choose to comment in the future, don't worry about being shy! We're all pals here. :D

He will? Sweet! I anxiously await to see the rest of the game, in that case! I just wish I could actually PLAY it, but I lack all such capabilities. Hopefully it'll prove to be a more enjoyable just-watching experience than the first game did.

I just found some tape notes on Two-Face like in the first Arkham game when Batman stumbles upon them. This one here contains an interview between Dr. Hugo Strange and The Duke of Duality. Not sure if this info is accurate before the game's release. What Do you think?

Part 1:

Hugo Strange: "Mr. Dent... It is Mr. Dent I'm talking to, right?"

Two-Face: "Use our real name."

Hugo Strange: "Two-Face? If you wish. Please, sit."

Two-Face: "What is it, Strange? Not happy just arrestin' us? Throwin' us in this place?"

Hugo Strange: "I wish to understand you. I have read the reports, seen the footage, and now I want to hear your side of the story."

Two-Face: "Heh. We'll see."

Hugo Strange: "I assume that you feel the need to toss your coin in order to decide whether to answer my questions."

Two-Face: "You ready to find out?" Hugo Strange: "Well ( ... )

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

I'll reserve my main thoughts until this is proven to actually be in the game for sure, and until I can hear the voice performances from both actors. Or is it meant to just be a transcript? Either way, this would mark the first time in any canon that my two favorite Batman rogues actually talked to one another, and I'll be interested to see where it goes from here.

But Falcone was the one who scarred Harvey in this continuity? Why? It's not like people don't know who Maroni/Moroni is, thanks to TDK!

Catwoman's trailer is so much ASS, BOOBS, ASS, BOOBS, :D you wonder what the point was. Actually, I don't think I want to know...

Well, I won't be playing Arkham City. Although this isn't so much because it looks shit as much as me + video games = doom. I like that this Harvey has a definite good side (as apposed to a less evil side), although I'm really curious why he's wearing a wristwatch on the scarred arm. Dude, your sleeve is ruined and you're exposing painful-looking flesh to the world but at least you'll know what time it is!

I don't really want to think about the possibility that it melted into his skin. Ewww.

The real question is, does it still work? Takes a licking and keeps on ticking! ... Ew!

If it does, I want that watch. Mine keep breaking (my current one is held together with a hairband). Oh, how mad would you be if it was stuck to your skin and didn't even tell you the time? Not good, not good.
