Where the hell do I begin talking about Harvey/Two-Face from Batman: The Animated Series? I'm assuming you've all seen the show. Seriously, is there anyone here who *hasn't* seen TAS, or at least the Two-Face episodes ( Read more... )

I just finished reading "Fractured Minds", a book by Robert B. Oxnam, who has MPD. He and what personalities he had left after therapy cooperated on the book. What it had to say about how personalities are created is that they come about from necessity: The whole person can't do what they have to do (For example, the author was an abused child whose parents expected him to be perfect in school and life in ways that he couldn't), so the mind fractures into separate departments that are capable of devoting themselves to whatever task is necessary ( ... )

...........what the fuck is up with Barbara's mouth?

Also, I can weirdly enough relate to TAS Two-Face since both of us suffers extreme anger, pent up rage, etc, etc. It's what made me love the character in the first place and for a while even I was obsessed with duality.

One thing I have been wondering for a while; is Harvey a poc in TAS? He certainly looks that way.

You're not the first person to ask that question. I'm going to guess that he's not a POC due to the fact that he's not just voiced by the Caucasian giant Richard Moll, but also that, according to the great Batman Animated coffee table book, Bruce Timm physically based Harvey on the actor Ralph Bellamy:

Oh god! That's like a icon creator's wet dream (or worst nightmare).

Though regarding VA's though; it's not always like that since Katara's (from Avatar: The Last Airbender) VA, Mae Wihtman was white I believe. Not to say that I say that I disagree with you or that I think you are wrong but despite the facts it's kind of cemented otherwise in my head. :/

I think it's because of the features and colour palletes: Luthor's and Harv's had shapes, large lips and general skin tone compared to everyone else's.
