My Favorite Vid to Archive
Thanks for doing this. I’ve been meaning to start posting my stuff here for awhile now and just keep putting it off. This was just the gentle prodding that I needed. :)
My favorite vid (that I myself made) is BSG: Overdose. (I’m not real original when it comes to titles). The song is Overdose by the band Hurt.
This is the first vid I ever made and it is still my favorite. This is almost exactly what I was going for when I decided to make this vid. The only thing I’m not sure of is the ending. I think it is a bit abrupt, but I still don’t know what I would do to change it, so maybe abrupt works in this context. I love the parallels between Bill seeing things and having to touch them to make them real, or maybe hoping they will prove to not be real after all. I was also really pleased that I did not have to recycle clips of Bill drinking and popping pills. That was my fear when I first started making this vid, but season 4.5 proved to be a treasure trove of Addict!Bill. Also, a highlight for me is when he just loses his shit while painting and the music does the same. It’s just such a raw and powerful moment.
