I was at the store this weekend picking up some groceries and there were fucking CHRISTMAS CANDLES in the aisles. I mean, it's fucking SEPTEMBER and there's christmas shit in the shops already. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.
that aggravates me to, they skip right over Halloween. the dollar store down the street was playing Christmas music and they had new year's eve party stuff out front!

just another reason why it's good that I listen to music on my headphones most of the time when I'm out.
I'm not in the US so Halloween isn't a fixture on the calendar, holiday-wise. No Thanksgiving either, so there's no "buffer" holiday at all.
That said, in Germany we celebrate Advent, starting 4 weeks before Christmas day, so that's usually the marker for when the Christmas season officially starts but the retail and media party poopers keep insisting on starting earlier.
