Randomness (writing & University Challenge)

Have been writing - which is lovely - mostly due to a wicked case of insomnia last night - which was not. Still, it's nice to have the words flowing again, if still a bit haltingly (just minifills so far).

UNIVERSITY CHALLEEEEENGE. I was rooting for Karran and his Naruto headband too ;_; poor kawaii desu Karran-chan. Hopefully Manchester will win, they're good too.

You are not alone! My two favourite teams are UCL and Manchester, largely for their captains (though McKenna on the Manchester team is smokin). I was gutted last week!

The Manchester captain has a twitter account and was retweeting about getting McKenna a date last week. This may have prompted a debate in our research office :D

I hope you were pleased by last night's result. They got a totally posh awards ceremony. My fave ever team (Corpus Christi 2005 - starring the wondrous Stefano Mariani) only got Pete Postlethwaite ambling on and handing over the award.

I was pleased! I was pretty sure Manchester was going to win from the way the Manchester team was acting before the broadcast (there was a certain repressed air of excitement that screamed "victory"), but it was still great fun to watch. And Paxo's uncomfortable small-talk with Camilla was hilarious. :D
