I just got my Latin essay grade.

I got an absolutely terrible mark. And an extremely harsh critique from my teacher, saying that it was way off track and that my referencing was inadequate to the point of being 'dishonest' (which wasn't particularly true: I provided all the information about my sources that I could find...)

Thanks for your response...I realise that I'd be a fool to throw away my last chance, so so going to the exam is probably a good idea.

As for your second comment, to be honest, I'm not sure what you mean; perhaps you don't have enough background information: I'm doing a BMus which is completely separate from my 'hobby' course (the Latin) and I wasn't planning to continue with the Latin next year anyway. The four music courses I'm planning to do are exactly what I'm wanting to do, though I have experience of struggling with all my assignments when I have four courses instead of the recommended three. That's what the problem is. :)

Oh right, sorry about that confusion. I guess I was kind of just thinking over these things for myself when I posted this, and wasn't really thinking about how much sense it made for others. >_

Yeah, not dwelling is definitely the best solution. What happened happened, and there's really nothing you can do. I've done some really dumb things during undergrad as well, but after some time, it all just fades into the background. :3
