I hate Chrome. I hate it with the heat of a thousand burning suns.

Wow, you must have a nuclear reactor inside of you!

I do. My mother used to tell me not to use the word 'hate' but I'm afraid that I'm rarely lukewarm. Must be the Viking in me.

The browser? What about it troubles you?

Microsoft has a new browser, Edge. I'm hearing that it's a big flop, though.

The mobile browser. They added something in Chrome 54 which I was able to remove after googling to find out how. Now they've added it into Chrome 58 and removed the option to disable it.

A good browser should be like a good servant - unobtrusive until you need it and forbidden to offer suggestions. I could use the Adblock browser but Chrome synchs with the desktop which is useful.

I use Chrome on the desktop for one thing only. None of the add-ons function as they do in Firefox. I notice that Malwarebytes blocks all sorts of things in Chrome. Never does that in Firefox.

I have four browsers (five, if you count Internet Exploder, which I don't) on my desktop machine, and use three of them regularly -- mostly to keep Google from connecting and linking different gmail accounts which I use for different purposes. Firefox with NoScript is my go-to for most other things. Yes, I often have to decide whether to allow some of the blocked scripts in order to get a page to display properly. Sometimes, I do that. Sometimes, I just decide I don't want to see whatever it was badly enough to jump through those hoops. Seventeen different trackers and blocked scripts? Nope. Don't need to see your content that badly.

On my phone and tablet, I mostly use the Ghostery browser, and occasionally fire up Dolphin if something doesn't want to display properly on Ghostery.

I haven't tried the Ghostery browser. I'm going to see how I like Firefox for Android.

Firefox with NoScript, Adblock Plus, and Ghostery - irreplaceable.

I admire your honest hatred. It's refreshing. You Vikings are a very direct people. I use Chrome on my iPad but Firefox on my laptop. I put FireFox on the laptop to avoid using Edge. I'm not a fan of the Microsoft browsers.

I keep what I love to myself (most of the time) but I'm happy to share what I hate. :)

I haven't used a Microsoft browser in years. Chrome may have the biggest share of the market but that's probably because using it is easier than experimenting with other browsers. In this case, I'm so tired of being told what I should read.

I use Firefox on the desktop except for the game I play on FB which works better with Chrome. I use Chrome on the tablet. Firefox is slow on the tablet. Adblock's browser is slow as well. I have yet to try Ghostery's. I suspect that learning to ignore the junk on Chrome might be easier than setting up new browsers with my bookmarks, passwords etc. My need for a browser on the tablet isn't that great.
