(Late) Christmas Post

Dec 26, 2006 13:26

I started to type this up last night, but quickly realized that I need to start getting to bed/waking up earlier. And so I did. :D Yesterday was pretty good. We opened packages in the morning, which was fairly uneventful since almost no one in our immediate family is able to get out and shop anymore (or yet, in my case). XD; I did get a check for $ ( Read more... )

Hmm...that is a lot all at once. Surely, you must have a teeny bit of time management. I don't think your brains will be a problem, and you can probably handle everything...eventually. Maybe a month or so of confusion and newness.

Inconsistent time tables are annoying. @@

Yeah, I think I'll have a period of adapting, but I'll probably get the hang of it pretty quick. And I think it'll be good for me to learn some time management and feel like I'm accomplishing something. I'm very goal-oriented, so the more I'm achieving, the better I feel. I don't know why, but I envision myself a lot happier and more productive when I think about school. Maybe it's some sort of diluted fantasy, but it's one that I enjoy. XD;

Aww, that was so sweet of your grandparents to give you that much money! I only got about half that amount, and spent most of it on gifts for other people, but I'm not complaining because I obviously love my new present. XD

Anyway, as for school things, I'm really glad that things are working out okay. Just be thankful you're not me trying to handle all of those situations--that would be scary, lol. o_o; You seem to be handling them all really well, so I'm happy for you! I hope it continues to go that way in the future... and that maybe you'll be able to get a laptop soon, as well. =D

Also, I'm really glad that you had a nice Christmas this year! ^__^ (Sorry I'm late telling you this, but I haven't really had the time to sit down at the computer lately.)

It was very sweet of them, especially considering they're buying me such an expensive gift in one week, 6 days, and about 12 hours. @_@ I think they're really proud of me over all of this school stuff. No one (myself included) imagined I could be so ambitious and be in such a radically different position than I was six months ago. Though my grandmother told me tonight that I'm growing up too fast. I think she means all at once, because I'm going from "stay at home" to "driving myself to school" XD;

Aww, thank you very much Kayleigh! It sounds like you had a nice Christmas too, because I'm about to read your entry, and see the excitement in the first line~

$100...O_O I wish I had your grandparents XD

Your time schedule sounds a bit cramped...but I'm sure it'll end up working after you go through it a couple of times. ^_^;

They're pretty awesome. :3 They've taken good care of my mom and myself, ever since she moved in with them when she was pregnant with the world's coolest CCS fangirl.

Haha, two hours free at uni is nothing. Believe me, you'll find ways to waste spend your time... but try not to skip classes x_x I... tend to do that. XD

Well, I'm not accustomed to a school environment at all, so I'm going to try to do everything perfectly, because I don't realize that there's any other way. I wasn't even aware that skipping classes is something that you can, you know, do. This is the naivety of which I speak. :x
