It's not that I don't trust my dormmates. It's just that I don't want to be wrong about them.
And.
As the oldest one here. There mgiht be a suspicion that I have more money than they do and thus have nicer things...or at least mroe interesting things than they...or not.
Remember those posts I wrote a long time ago about people testing my car door to see if if it's unlocked?
I've never heard of someone actually physically breaking into a car to steal somehting. It has always been through an unlocked door..

Cars, yes, I would always lock the doors to my car. That is a considerably different situation. But my apartment? A person walking around trying apartment doors would be a lot more conspicuous than someone trying car doors. To the point where I have doubts it really happens at a common rate.
