It started with that one huge growth out at the front entrance. I guess people weren't too concerned, I mean, it wasn't getting any bigger. Sure, people were giving the usual outcry over something that big appearing while no one was looking, but it's not like... whatever ( Read more... )

I felt the same way about the Charlie brown statues. I was secretly happy when someone was stealing and/or vandalizing them.

Oh, I think everyone was disappointed in those. And now they're Woodstocks. But at least had the intent of being temporary... and were "art."

I hope you meant biopsy.

I know what I said. I was making an analogy to President Richmond's concept of the function of these growth. He feels they will lead to an increased student body. Surely the analogy is apt!

Right!

I sorta agree with him, actually. I was much more drawn to attend schools that felt like they had community and the way that was impressed upon me was a lot in the layout and architecture of the school. By unifying the campus it's also giving the impression of a unified student body, and that is much more appealing to most people than a disjointed and unconnected group of students.

I miss you.

The new thingies are up? I haven't been back to campus since finals week. >_>
Is Sam in town and stuff? The OCSTI should do something, 'cos Kai and I are bored to death.

Sam's in Oxford. England. He's there for the summer. Laurel is in town, but only till the halfway point, when she goes down to UCSB for summer school. And Wesley is in town for the second half, when he gets back from UCSB's summer school. All three will be in town for one week then they're all going back to UCSB.

whew.
