What works for me is that I put the clocks forward on Saturday morning. I then go through the whole day ahead of everyone else, and to bed at my normal time (by the put forward clocks). Then on Sunday, when everyone else is adjusting to the new time, I'm already there. *grins* Yes, I am mad. But for some reason, I can lose an hour during the day with no problem, but from my sleep time? Nah uh.
I didn't have to work today, thank goodness. It's bad enough losing an hour of sleep, but when you start work at 7am, but it feels like 6am . . . so much of that is just bad.
I like to enjoy both movies and books, so I prefer to watch the movie first, because of changes made. Then, if I want to read the book later, it fills in the gaps and explains things better and I still enjoy both. But if I read the book first, I can be a really bad nitpicker like a lot of HP fans I know. ;) Which is why I'm worried I won't like the movies for 6 and 7 as much since I've read all the books now. :-\
See, I'm the opposite. Wherever possible I like to read the book first. I did watch the Da Vinci Code movie before I ever read the book, but that's one of the very few times when I've done that. Oh, and I've tried many times to read the Lord of the Rings books and failed each time, so I guess that's another.
I nitpick if the changes made in the movie seem senseless. I understand that they can't fit everything from a really detailed book into the film, and though it annoys me when certain parts that I liked are exculded, I do get it. But when you spend ten minutes on a scene with a stupid, talking, shrunken head while omitting other parts that actually came from the book, I get a little angry.
The Prisoner of Azkaban, I believe. That sequence on the Night Bus (or was that Knight Bus?). I thought they spent too much time on that stupid talking head!
