A lecture about the beginnings and the open-ended fate of the universe...
...the unexplained, but observed phenomena that is dark matter and dark energy...
...along with a viewing of "The Galaxy Song" from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life...
...I can't possibly think of a better way to end the semester.

I'm taking a class focusing on galaxies and the universe next semester though, so I bet we'll touch on it there. :)

b) Hmm, I never thought of that as a possibility. The only thing is, after moving out a few thousand parsecs or so from the center, the 'rotational velocity' vs. 'distance from the center' curve practically becomes a straight line. Is it possible for the gravity-time relation to account for that?

That was the whole exam.
Anyway, I took an astronomy class last semester and really liked it, but our school doesn't offer a whole lot in astronomy - only one class.

Though it sucks that your school only offers one astronomy class. o.o How big is it?

I suppose it doesn't matter a whole lot about not offering astronomy classes as I'm going for an MFA in photography anyway, it was just a really interesting class.
