I'm wondering if perhaps it's time to say goodbye to these online journals. On the one hand, that would make me sad. This one goes back to 2002, the other, 2005. On the other hand, now that I'm not sitting in front of a computer at my day job, I'm posting - and responding - far less than I would like. :-) I wish I brightened your day more often! I think that's the best reason I can think of to miss that Pitt job (besides the money & the uninterrupted *work* time to do my non-work teaching stuff).

It's like wilderness - even if you don't visit it often, the fact that you could is valuable.

Thing is, I feel like posting more in all the journals would be really helpful to me in a lot of ways. And I think of something to post in one or more of them daily. But I'm just so overextended that I never seem to get the time, when all those other things are staring me down :-(

You have really high expectations of yourself. I couldn't possibly keep up with my own stuff if I had two small children at once, let alone a lot of work demands.
