most of you know that i'm teaching the nature & environmental writing literature class again this spring for chatham's new online MFA program. i've taught the class face-to-face already, so right now i'm working on tweaking it for the all-online format. one of the most important- and my very most favorite! - parts of the class has been the students ( Read more... )

I like it! Very pretty format/colors. What a lot of work to move all those posts over there, too! I'm going to follow it without "following" because I don't have a Google account.

Between my "real" e-mail address, my work e-mail address, and my yahoo e-mail address, I've never felt the desire for a gmail address, and I hear they scan e-mail to make targeted ads. That pretty much turned me off to the idea.

Yeah, little ads appear at the top of your email window, but they're easily ignored. And sometimes they're amusing (like when I check my Spam folder, I get ads for Spam recipes).

So many other goodies come with having a gmail account and the search feature is so fantastic, I don't know how I'd live without it. I have two accounts, one which I forward all my work emails to and only use when I need to search for something (because Outlook's search bites).
