Nah, I was posting via frank/ljtalk, and hit the limit, so needed to load up my blackberry browser to fix it. Urgh, I hate LJing on this thing, but somehow I couldn't wait to go home.

I do most of my reading on my laptop and a significant amount on my BlackBerry. But I've been really thinking of getting something with a little less glow :) And this one seems like it will be really easy to get "real" ebooks plus also read fanfic/web articles without having to do any conversion/transfer.

You know my stance.

And if you had what I'm pitching, you could post and IM easily and conveniently anytime and anywhere...from your e-book reader, no less, mmmhmm...

Yeah, I'd be paying 60% more ($299 vs $499) *and* I wouldn't even get the eink screen which is the whole point of buying an ebook reader for me :p I'm quite happy with my Blackberry and Netbook for functionality and portability, what I want is something that doesn't glow at me.

Plus, I'd be able to post/read/etc from this ereader. Probably not IM, but (1) I can IM from my Blackberry and (2) I don't IM often from my Blackberry, because I prefer to do it via my server setup (which I can set up on my BB, I just haven't, which is more than I can say for the ipad).
