Too many Js.... O.O

Why is it that most of my fandoms have characters/people with names beginning with J? What is it about the letter J? I only know...*thinks hard*...two people with names beginning with J in real life. They're called Jennifer and Jon. That's it.

But in fandom there is:
Jack (Harkness, Torchwood character)
John (Barrowman, Torchwood actor)
John (Hart,
