Oh, wow. I already own two sets each of seasons one and two for just that purpose -- my spare season one set is on loan as I type -- but perhaps it's time to double-up on season three at long last.

I don't know what to make of these discounts. It's not just FK; all TV DVDs seem to be dropping precipitously, and you can't re-sell for beans anymore. I received the complete six-season set plus made-for-TV movies of Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman as a gift last month when Amazon dropped the price to ~$60 (I love my historical fiction). Perhaps we're very lucky, and this is a prelude to a slim set or blu-ray release?

I thought the exact same. Unfortunately, I was a little late. The price is back up to $23.32. Still very reasonable considering what it used to be, but at the risk of sounding like a bad fan, I don't know if I'm willing to spend that on season 3.

LOL, I feel like I should do a Vachon vid or season 3 story in penance!

I'm both excited at the possibilities and scared of the implications. A couple of years back Hercules: The Legendary Journeys was always, always on sale at the $11-$15 range. The series was loaded with extras! Video commentaries, featurettes, photo galleries, bios, costume and set design sketches! I was slowly collecting the seasons (I always was much more of a Hercules fan than Xena) but it got to the point where I ( ... )

Season three is tough going in so many, many ways. No blame. But it is legitimate FK. Perhaps watching some third-season episodes on Crackle would be adequate penance? ;-)

>"However, I'm a bit hesitant to get too optimistic..."

Oh, don't worry. I have no expectations. I was here waiting all those years there were no professional VHS tapes released, and then no DVD sets and no hope of them, and then the worry that season one would be all we would get, and surely season three would never come...

If TPTB sell us more, perfect! If they do not, well. we'll manage. As we always have.

>"some of the work on the sets felt slapped togetherYes. The interior and exterior design work on seasons two and three is inexcusably poor; they could have just imitated season one with better results. Season one has attractive menus, at least. The biggest issue, imo, is that the exterior packaging does not represent FK in a manner designed to sell it. FK is not 50% vampire horror; the packaging is 100% vampire horror. FK's audience is a mix ( ... )
