Chapter 1
"Look, its him! It's really him!" A girl squealed to her friend beside her. "Really? Oh my god, it's really him!" Her friend squealed together with her. "So handsome! I wish I was his girlfriend..." The girls said in a unison. Before you knew it, other girls started to show up and squealed. The guy quickly walked away and the crowd followed behind him.
Emi looked behind her and saw a crowd of girls. She sighed and continued walking home. "Hmm.. What should I cook today?" Emi asked herself. It's been 3 years since she moved from Canada. She lived with her aunt in Montreal before deciding to move back to Japan, her home. She was happy and excited to see everyone that she loved again.
Emi opened her apartment door and saw boxes everywhere. Her apartment was small but had enough space for her things. Her kitchen was small enough to have at least 2 people to cook at the same time. The apartment was a good size especially the price of the rent. Starting out new and fresh was something Emi wanted to do on her things-to-do list when she came back to Japan.
Emi dropped the grocery bags on the kitchen counter and heard her cell phone ringing. "Moshi-moshi?" Emi said. Emi smiled and recognized the person's voice on the other line. "Emi-chan! Welcome back to Japan! I was so surprised that you decided to come back. Now, I can speak English to you." Emi giggled and she couldn't forget her best friend. "Masaki-chan! It's been a long time. Ahah.. I guess we can talk in English but will you understand me?" Emi continued to giggle and her best friend started to speak in English. "Nice to meet you. My name is Aiba Masaki desu. Just a moment, please." Emi heard Aiba running. "Masaki-chan? Masaki?" Emi hesitated, it sounded like he was running.

Aiba and Emi met each other in their third year of high school. Emi had transferred into his school and she didn't know anyone there. When their sensei decided to change seats, Aiba and Emi ended up sitting beside each other. Emi always paid attention to their senseis, meanwhile Aiba was always the one getting in trouble for sleeping during class.
One day, Emi was finished with her clubs and forgot her notebook in her desk. She walked to her class and saw Aiba depressed on his desk. Emi walked quietly to her desk but she accidently hit a desk with her foot. Aiba turned his head and saw Emi. Aiba said in a monotone voice. "Hey.." Emi bowed and she quickly grabbed her notebook when she saw his math test on his desk. Aiba whispered. "What am I going to do?" Aiba scratched his head and shook his hair.
Emi noticed that Aiba was a nice guy but never liked to study. She smiled and said in a quiet voice. "I could help you..." Aiba looked at Emi and got up. Then he grabbed her hands and shook them. "Arigato!!" He smiled and Emi blushed.
For a few days, Emi and Aiba stayed after school in the library. Emi taught Aiba everything that their sensei had taught them. Time flew by and there was going to be a math test in 2 days. Aiba was scared of what mark he was going to get, he often came over to Emi's house and Emi tutored him. The day of the results of the math test and Aiba got 80/100. Aiba and Emi were thrilled and Aiba accidentally hugged Emi.
For a few months after the incident. Aiba and Emi tried to forget about the incident. They ate, went to the movies together and went the local arcade together. Emi had developed a crush on Aiba, but she was too scared of what he thought about her.
Finally, Aiba confessed to Emi and she was excited. Now they became an official couple. That came to an end when they started having fights with each other. Both of them thought of breaking apart as a couple. They agreed and wanted to keep a friend relationship with each other.
As Aiba saw Emi dating other boys, he started to develop a deep jealousy between the guys she would date. He knew that best thing to do was to keep his love for her deep down in his heart.
