[abbstract]

i hate the indoor track. i've been running there lately becasue the frisbee team doesn't get much turf time and its too cold outside. i need to stay in shape somehow. so i've been running with frisbee girls. and no matter what you do tot he indoor track. it sucks. ick. where is the sun? does rochester get to see the sun? wil it warm up soon?

One day in high school, a math teacher I didn't know came up to me and asked if I wanted to do a spelling bee that night. I wasn't doing anything else, so I went in as a ringer. We were knocked out by "meningorrhagia". Our three-man team took second place in the Capital District and each got $250. It was a really low-key affair. I recommend free money to all kids.

meningorrhagia huh? i never would have gotten that far. my favorite kid in the movie got out just outside the top ten on the word "banns" who would have known. when i was his age i would have gotten out on cup or maybe something slightly more complex like ecclesiastical (is that spelled right now?)

i was a math nerd as a kid.

ps that was the first time since i left troy that i've heard someone refer to the captial district. :)

I once lost a spelling bee on the word "handkerchief" It knocked out like 5 kids before me and my gram was in the audience pointing to her hand but I had no clue what that was all about. I was like thinking in my head... yeah gram.. nice hand. Oh well... at least I wasn't the dumb girl who couldn't spell throat

I'm not done with this God forsaken co-op until August.. so thats a big no on the Troy thing. Still in the winter wonderland that is CT. Haha.. there are rumors about me and Christian? Are they at least good? And yes they are true.. its been like 3 weeks and I'm very happy.

Oh and Abbey.. you rock!!! I'm so going to miss you on the cruise this year. I'm even getting tanned for it so I don't become the amazing lobster woman I was last year!

I lost in my middle school spelling bee on the word "flannelette". As in, a small flannel. If I had asked for a definition I would have totally gotten it. And now the word is forever burned into my mind.
