All the food you post looks so amazing! How much does this kind of stuff cost over there?

Amazingly a lot of the food isn't really very expensive. All of Jen's food was part of the Chinese set which was 1400 yen (100 yen is pretty close to one US dollar, so think $14). My meal cost 850 and the dumplings were 400, so that is about the same as you'd pay in a normal Chinese restaurant back home.

Lunch sets are often ridiculously cheap. We went to this one place and got pasta, salad, bread, and an iced coffee for 800 yen. The food was really good too.

Also, the price I list is the price you actually pay. Tax is included in the price and there is no tipping here.

One thing that is usually expensive here is the drinks, though. Even a coke is usually at least 300 yen in a restaurant unless you are at McDonald's.

That's nuts!

Ever notice any other different kinds of cost differences over there?

Well, you'll pay AT LEAST $10 for a bunch of grapes (the grapes are the size of those small bouncy balls, and maybe you get 10-15 grapes). I've seen grapes for $40. Melons (like, cantelopes) can run you $20-60. Most fruit (unless you catch a good sale or buy it at a fruit stand) is just outrageous. If you buy Japanese vegetables, they are cheap (like, a bag of bean sprouts for 34 cents), but if you want, let's say broccoli, it could be $2 a head.

But yeah, most restaurants are super cheap, especially with sets.

Alcohol is really cheap here. It's awesome.

Yeah, they're Chinese potstickers. These ones had a fake meat in them and were a little spicy. I like the ones Teddy and I make and that PF Chang's make better, but they were nice.
