Well, I haven't seen anyone else talking about this, so if Laura and I are the only ones this is happening to I'll feel pretty silly but...

[She holds up a wrist to reveal the pink, fluffy covered handcuff.]

Anyone else wake up randomly handcuffed to someone? And did this crazy pink stuff start to grow when you tried to pick the lock?

[She sighs ( Read more... )

I'm not sure whether to be relieved we're not the only ones or annoyed that this has happened to more people.

[She sighs, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment, before collecting herself. She's feeling ill too but that hasn't slowed her down yet. Then again she's trying very hard not to tug at her handcuff.]

Yours has the sharp things on the inside too, I take it?

Some kind of medication or poison that affects us. I haven't been able to collect a sample, unfortunately. None's leaked out. I might have to take a blood sample...

You're not the only one.

I wonder how widespread this has gone.

It's quite likely to have affected all here.

Or it could be like the Christmas sweaters. The majority got them, but I didn't. If there's even a few who haven't been affected, maybe they were given the keys?

I got a partner too.

And it's not worth trying. Those things don't break.

Have you seen any clues to help us determine just why we're trapped in these ridiculous things that are making us sick?

No. I just know I tried breaking it with teke, and nothing. It's crap, I've broken cuffs before. There's something seriously off about these ones. There must be a key we're all missing.

I hope this isn't a scheme to make us all fight one another for one key.

No go on the locks. It just seems to make them angry.

I wish I could get a bit of this pink stuff off to study under a microscope, but it won't budge either.

Angry's a good term to describe whatever it is.

There's overall far too many moody inanimate objects here for my taste. But some disinfectant for the pins and needles might still help.

Luckily I'm in the perfect location to administer that. Though I wonder if that'll make the spikes angry too.

I've tried to find a key, but I haven't found any that fit.

I've done some looking too, but whoever did this probably didn't want to make it easy on us.

Nothing's easy here, not that I've noticed. I've tried to pick it too, but it makes the fur worse.

Are you alright from the poison at least?

Depends on how you define "all right." I'm not on death's door, but I've felt better.

[She really doesn't feel too hot, but she's trying to soldier through because she wants to gather info.]

How are you? I'm sorry, I don't know your name. I'm Christine.
