[ And there's already someone sitting on the building's roof, having a smoke and just watching his technique. After a moment he just snorts and blows smoke before flicking the butt over the edge. ]

[Yusuf turns his head towards the direction of the voice.]

Perhaps, but some may forget.

Some are just trying to stay alive until they know what's going on with this place.

[ Stays seated where he was, legs crossed and trench coat pulled tight around him. His face is a little too bony and too pale looking but that just might be because of the moon light shining on him. ]

I blame the lack of daylight. Eternal nighttime would unsettle anyone.

My home was one of where the sun shone nearly every day, and the sea was always near. Here, there is neither. I am not used to such a change.

I've lived in a variety of climes, so the cold is not unusual...but I have come to miss the sun. And the lack of wildlife. Even in the deepest and densest of human cities, there is some sort of animal.

Ahh, I have only seen the sea for the first time some months ago. It was lovely.

Ah, yes. I have come to miss the eagles and even the stray cats of my home. [Even if they did nothing but hiss and spit and scratch...]

Only so soon you saw the sea? The city was also a port. Everyday you saw some new ship arriving or leaving. Nothing was ever the same each time I visited the docks.

[Laura uses the roofs of the places a lot, to observe the people and look for the person(s) responsible for her being here. She walks along the edge of the room to him.]

I do not like that I cannot find the enemies.

It truly does make knowing who is a friend or who is a foe difficult. To say that we are the only ones is ridiculous.

I have been systematically working through the streets. I haven been identifying the places everybody lives who I have seen on video. I have learnt their scents.

SO far I have found evidence of no one else.

Their scents? [He eyes her, just a little bit, mostly in curiosity.] Were you a hunter in your home?

[With one last grunt, undignified and unladylike, Mirela manages to pull herself up onto the roof. She dusts her hands off on her skirt and looks around briefly before realizing her phone is going off-and the reason why is on the roof. Good job, detective Mirela!]

[He certainly wasn't expecting a lady in a skirt to be able to climb so high and so easily, but he is a little surprised by it. What skill!]

And why would I not? To see the city well, one must be very high up.

Well said. Though here, it is much of the same everywhere. All the same buildings, all the same streets, nothing to distinguish them from each other.
