Action

[Somewhere in Abax, there is a dude who looks like a total dweeb. He's been lurking around voyeuring on entries in the network and gathering information on where the hell he's ended up, and what's going on. When he was sure wasn't where he expected he'd be, he thinks that somehow, being stuck in some other dimension in a city with things of ( Read more... )

Ah, I have found that summoning spells, and magick of that nature do not quite function as it should.

[...'magic'. Of course it had to be magic.]

Clarify successful functions (classification: 'magic').

[He resisted the urge to let that prick of annoyance show on his face. Clarify, hmm? Was he not clear? He assumed he was, but clearly he expected too much of the general population's ability to draw conclusions, especially if they sounded like an automaton.

Very well then. He'll feign a nervous smile.]

I have yet to try every spell I can recall [since that's a lot] but thus far I have successfully been able to perform elemental spells.

[Action?!]

[Don't worry, kender would claim that they don't have prying eyes, so there's no harm done here! Tas is no stranger to being around those who are versed in the magical arts, and he knows when to be Very Quiet when someone is intent on doing things.

...of course that only lasts for so long as he can't help but exclaim as Lezard keeps making such wonderful things appear!]

That's amazing! Are you a toy-mage or something? Not that I've ever heard of such a thing, but it seems very nice that you can make them!

[He pauses when he hears the new voice, before turning to meet the owner. A neutral expression on his face.

Judging from the ears... an elf? He's never seen one with brown hair. Or one that wasn't hostile.

But a toy-mage? Whatever could possess him to make that conclusion? Of course conjuring children's toy wasn't a difficult task for someone like him, but this wasn't the result he intended. Not that he would admit it unless he was going to pretend to be humble.]

-no, I'm not.

[Tasslehoff would make a very short elf, standing at only little over three feet high.

By then, the fact that he's been acknowledged at all by the mage has given the kender reason enough to step out of hiding, boldly approaching the piles of toys. He'll eagerly paw through them if unhindered.]

You're not? Oh, well you certainly seem to do a good job of it. What sort of mage are you, then?

[He glances at Lezard curiously, even as he absently slips some of the more pocketable items into one of the many pouches he carries.]

[He considers the question, studying the much-shorter-than-average elf and his surprising enthusiasm, before he lets out a laugh. Necromancer, Defiler of Souls, Perverse, the Bad Sort... he's been called many names, but for the time being, he doubt it was a good idea to voice any of them out loud. Not when if he might have found a potential test subject to try those other spells he didn't want to personally try.]

Please, feel free to take whatever you need if you wish. There is no need to be ah, stealthy. [a pause, then a small smile.] However, to answer your question, I'm an alchemist and a scholar - I dabble in many forms of magic.
