You get a view of one of the walls and part of the circular counter before it finally moves, exposing more of the counter. On it, you might notice there are various writing utensils, some of them worn down and others missing caps from constant use ( Read more... )

Actually drawing it? Almost a week.

[ But he turns the phone, showing a mess of papers off to one side of the map. Various sketches of buildings (a few people) and a few hand-written notes. ]

Everything else, I kind of lost track of.

As far as I know. I make a point to check out anything people mention so I can add it here.

[ He glances at the sketches as well before turning back to the feed. ]

Trust me, there are some things even I don't want to draw.

[Yusuf is quite curious about not only the map, but that strange little drawing in the corner...]

Very impressive, my friend!

[ It was his first time seeing a cat person, had to document it somewhere. ]

Glad you think so, pal. After the hell I went through to get draw some of these things - [ he twists the phone, flashing papers to one corner, some of the ink smeared and papers wavy, as if they'd been wet ] - I'd have been pissed if it didn't turn out as well as I'd planned.

[Yusuf has yet to meet one.]

Is that all of the city? [ARE THERE ANY REALLY TALL BUILDINGS?!] If it is, you certainly have some talent! [Said with a bit of a laugh. He's very impressed!]

[ He's only seen one. But he doesn't mind showing off the picture. ]

Yeah, everything I've been able to get to, at least. [ He reaches out to spread the papers a bit - showing some of the REALLY TALL BUILDINGS c:

And he offers a laugh in return. ] Trust me, it comes in handy. [ The 'in my line of work' is almost implied. ]

You drew all of that by yourself?

I had help from a couple pens and pencils before they wore out on me. A few markers, too.

Interesting.
Have you discovered anything yet?

Not much.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some long last treasure or a sacred temple dedicated to Abaxian gods.

I can't fathom what you might do with treasure in a city where nothing holds any value outside of its usefulness.
But a temple to the Abaxian god of 'Kidnapping people from other dimensions and stuffing them in morgues' might shed light on a few things.

[ Sarcasm missed, kid. ]

Old habits are hard to break.

Or lead you to another morgue. Who knows.

[Among the constant complaints filling the network from users without clothes, users with unwanted clothes, users complaining about some kind of presence... this stands out as one of the more useful posts Rinzler's seen.

Though he has no idea why this user would choose to share it.]

Query. Boundary loops consistent?

TEXT. Attempt at encryption.

[ Query? Was this place speaking robot now or something? ]

Far as I know. I don't make a habit of checking them every day - this place doesn't pay me enough for that.

[He's speaking antisocial program. It's close enough.

And if that's true, this data could be... more than useful. Alternate navigation, shortcuts. Possible escape routes or ambush methods, if the timing and locations were specific enough.]

Acknowledged.

Timing of relocation at loop points: consistent, immediate?

text. You're awesome, Mr. Robot.

[ ]

Seems that way. Like I said, I don't make a habit of checking more than once or twice.

[ ooc AND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, since Plurk is dead:
Iif you headed off from district one you'd walk basically to the opposite edge on the same point on the map. So yes you could find yourself in the park if that was the direction you were heading in the opposite direction of. So like, because the lake is in the middle, you'd end up on the edges of the park. ]
