And there I was thinking it was simply me being cold. [ He says mildly, though it becomes apparent soon enough he certainly doesn't think the same way. ]
While I'm not inclined to believe in such things, I wouldn't put it past the city to have some tricks up their sleeves.

I wish I could just attribute this feeling to the weather, but I feel as though it has more to do with... something I simply cannot place my finger on.
Tricks? [A chuckle.] With what has happened over the holidays, I simple cannot believe otherwise.

Though I can't say for certainty, as I've only woken up here just slightly before the holidays myself. [ He doesn't laugh, not anymore, when it's a serious topic and has him on edge, though she's calming at least, worth speaking to for the time being. ]

Is that so? I arrived here around the same time, as well... though I was here when that curious tree revealed itself. The city seems fond of playing tricks with its residents.
