As much fun as that was, [Sarcasm, folks.] I think I can do without memory eating plants in the future. Has anyone ever actually seen anything like that before? Or know if it's something we're going to have to worry about happening again ( Read more... )

Can't say I've ever seen a tree that could do it but things and people that can mess with memories aren't too rare where I come from. Has anyone been out to investigate the tree since it stopped being weird?

If you're going, bring someone you know from home. Or make sure you tell someone some of the stuff you wouldn't want to lose.

Nope. Brand new, shiny way for the world to tell us we're fucked on my end.

Great. Anyone find a library around here? Or a working computer? Maybe there's information on what other horrible plants we might run into.

Yeah, because this seems like the kinda place to give us warning labels. No net I've found.

Caution: do not touch the tree, may cause horrible things to happen probably should have been obvious, anyway.

The memory eating tree was definitely a new thing for me. And I really hope it doesn't come back. Really hope. Though, we all learned out lessons, hu?

Maybe we'll be better prepared for whatever the future in this place brings.

I hope you've got some non-memory erasing wood to knock on.

Damn. I think I'm fresh out of that. Don't suppose you have any spare?

Not on me. I'd probably have to make a field trip to the park.

I was in a wood, once, that was nameless, which was rather similar but not entirely the same thing. I could not remember a tree or a fawn or my own name until I left.

And then everything just came back?

Mm! Once the fawn and I left the wood, we remembered what we were.

Well, let's hope the park doesn't turn into that.

There are certain beings, those with abilities that are able to do so by either altering or suppressing memories.
