[It is of great concern to him that the tree has the power that it does, and he will not sit by idly and hope that the memories taken from those close to him will simply be returned.
He stands as a shadow between some of the other trees with a clear view of the white one in the middle. It is not glowing as bright today, and his eyes pick out a

I hope you can protect your mind, pal. Just being near it can take memories.
Harry Dresden, I know Gandalf. I've been investigating and I think it's those orbs. I was just on my way to see how the ice stands up to fire.

You are well met met, Harry Dresden. I am Aragorn. [slight bow of his head. He looks back down at the orbs, and nods.]
I will await your arrival.

[A pause in his walk. He recognises that name. Mustn't fanboy, mustn't fanboy. This is not the time to geek out Dresden!] Nice to meet you, Aragorn.
Right, I'm not far. [In fact should Aragorn look, he'd see a tall figure emerging from the far off tree line, a staff in hand a long heavy coat about his shoulders.]

[He does glance over his shoulder and turns to walk closer. He inclines his head in a gesture of hello.
And of course he notices the staff!]
You are a wizard?

[ She's concerned for him, yes, but knows this must be done. In secret, she'll harness whatever power she can from Nenya to protect Aragorn from the tree's influence. [He has only but his physical and mental strength, but even in hearing her voice, Aragorn feels a great wave of confidence that this challenge will end well.]

This I know. You have faced many an obstacle before and emerged the victor. I have every confidence in you and those who work by your side.

Tell me, small one, has any of your memories been misplaced?

But, those memories are still precious. Ones that you should keep to remember as you grow. [There is a pause as Aragorn considers her request to aid them before he finally speaks again] There are others who have said they have acquired memories that are not of their own. Is there a place you know that has tools that can break through ice?

Please don't go out there to that tree.

The ice is thick, it will not easily give way.

[Aragorn looks to his friend.]
Has it stolen memories from you, Legolas?

[Faramir, hastening over to join them, carried a number of shovels collected from one of the abandoned shops in the city.]
How fares Haldir?

He is calmer than he was. [and that's all you're getting, because they are going to fix him and so it won't matter.]
