Many of us have friends, family, people who we know who've had their memories taken. After many accounts and the obvious fault being this... tree in the park, I think it only makes sense to gather our collective powers and magic, intelligence and skills, to get these memories back.

But yes, your help and any who would be willing will be helpful. I'm Charles Xavier, I've been here for a little while now, myself, along with many others.

[And a nod. There may be a flicker of recognition, but it's gone pretty quick.]
Emily Madsen, sir. Don't know how much I can honestly give you guys outside maybe a bit of firepower, but I can definitely try.

[And there's a smile.]
Well, Emily, firepower might be just what we need. I will let you know once we've got it all figured out.

He'd bolted back to his small room at the hospital and well ... that was private.
Charles really isn't interested in talking to the world at large, so though he opens a video feed that is open to all en-sundry, he keeps his comments to his mind.
Have a mental tap on your shields, twin.]

Hello, Charles, I assume you've some information or interest in this?

I believe I have some of your friend's memories. It happened the day we found him, when I went to the lake. When that young man, Pyro was blasting at the tree like a right idiot, something happened and suddenly...
[Sighing, he sat forward and rubbed his fingers through his hair. He realized he might not be making sense, there was just so damn much going on ... Focus, focus.]
Was Erik in water when you met him? Did you tell him to ... calm his mind?

Pyro was what? Goodness... [A mental sigh. Really, he wasn't so sure what to think of Pyro, but Erik had wanted him with them, even though Charles got the distinct feeling of distrust from the boy when it came to himself. Could just be him over thinking things.]
That does sound like our first meeting, cold water and all. Are you alright though? Did it do anything to you? [There's a soft, worried touch to Charles' mind, he worries about you you know.]

But he knows that's selfish and wrong of him.]
Why would you ever think that, Erik?
Reply
Well you seem to care that I get them back.
I can't actually know why I'd think that, besides that I do.
Reply
Of course I care that you get them back, they are your memories. They're important.
[They make Erik who he is, even if they aren't the most lovely of memories at times.]

[From the boy that's been alternating between sulking in his room and committing random acts of vandalism since his try to burn down the tree failed.]

[Sigh]
It's bullet proof. The ice gets slushy, but that's about it.

I apologize for not being inspiring enough for you, John. [Whoops, slip up. Though he does have a habit of using names, not mutant nicknames.]
So we have a tree wearing a bulletproof vest and slushy ice. Splendid. I'm guessing fireproof as well? The tree that is.

( Count me in, anyways. )

I figured it wouldn't hurt to gather people for the cause before running off. It certainly never hurts to be prepared.

But I agree. Going together is a better idea than going alone.

And this can be true, while at the same time be false. Having a group of us could end up with a bunch of us without our memories instead of just a few like we currently have. If we're not careful that is.
