01 | Accidental video

[ A video is left on an empty room. A lengthy silence is interrupted by a distant noise which is soon followed by a young boy venturing across the screen. He stares directly at the camera but does not seem to recognize it for what it is, instead muttering to himself]

[ Ciel frowns, sorting through the small

[He looks up at the sound of a voice, staring in the direction it came from and slowly walking back that way.]

Who's there?

[ And there's Sebastian, too, who's laying on his back on a sofa nearby, and though he can't be seen by the camera, he can be heard. ]

The device on the table seems to be talking, my lord.

Oh- um, over here? On the cellphone!

[He waves, wondering if that would help, really.]

Oh, good heavens! [ alice is leaning close into the screen, apparently attempting to see just how injured the other person in the room is. ] I-- I'm certain that there's a physician here. Perhaps we can find one for your friend?

[thatmaster]

[Ciel's head snaps up at the voice and he looks over his shoulder to where it came from. After a moment of consideration, he slowly walks closer to where he had just been. Where was the voice coming from?]

Who are you?

[As he speaks, he comes into the view of the screen again, though he still appears to not realize it's there.]

Yoo-hoo! [ she waves at the screen, trying to catch his attention. ] I'm over here! The funny little device that you were given, one can-- can speak to other people through it, and even see them. Yours was on when you were speaking earlier.

[ she pauses, then steps back from hers enough to curtsy politely. ]

Begging your pardon, my name is Alice Liddell.
