It's snowing... [Vanessa wears a look of awe as she glances up. She reaches her free hand out to catch the flakes in her palm.] You don't really see snow in Los Angeles.

[And then her smile dies as easily as it came to life. She pulls her hand back to her and leans back against the wall of a store building.] There's no heat here. And it's snowing.

Hm. Is it really that unbearable?

[Says the person who can warm herself up]

It's cold now, but snow could make it colder... [Lucky you. :c]

[Oh right humans are different like that :c]

I guess it doesn't affect me in that way. [A pause] It'll be easy to start a fire.

[It's a sad, sad thing.]

How come? [A frown.] You mean with the trees? If I only had super strength to punch them down...

Don't think it'll pile up enough to worry about the roads. Not that many of us here need cleared roads to get around.

Heating on the other hand could be a problem if people don't start stocking up on supplies.

If it snows a lot, it could be a problem. Not everyone can walk in snow, and I doubt trendy tourist clothes stores have what we need to move around. [Sigh. She's just worried.]

There's not a lot of supplies to go around.

Supplies can at least be shared and rationed, and considering how long this place seems to have been abandoned, yet the freshness of some perishables means something has recently been through to leave them.

As for moving about, it would actually be much better if people stayed inside, or at least not wander far from whatever building they are currently living in.

[She actually attempts to sound comforting for the next part.]

If it does get to be a large accumulation, I'm certain those of us who can traverse it won't mind helping out others that can't. Until then it might be a good idea to gather a supply of things and store them away as a just in case.

It makes you wonder where all the people went. It's sort of like that story of the island of Roanoke. The colony suddenly disappeared, leaving all of their belongings behind.

I guess we should wait until we see what happens with the snow first, huh?

Assuming people will want to help... [She says it softly, almost apologetically.] But you're right! Gathering supplies is a good idea.

I'm not exactly rolling around without clothes on.

Colds brew when it's too warm. They can't survive in the cold. Not that we can't get sick probably! And the cold is worrisome, because we can get hypothermia, especially if we're asleep. [She takes a deep breath to calm herself.] I'm sorry. I sound as if I'm not grateful about the advice.

Maybe you should come back inside, if you're cold. [...Although a tiny part of her wants to go out and join Vanessa in the snowfall. She'd seen snow before-- but it was a rare sight, for her.]

I'm always cold. I don't think going back inside is going to help that, Ashley.

Noo, but blankets and company could. We're also trying to figure out how to build a fire without burning the building down, so that's fun.

What happens if you do burn the building down?

Why are you standing outside in the snow if you're worried about freezing? [... but brb he's heading outside too because omg, snow]

[She resists the urge to pinch the bridge of her nose and sigh. Loudly. Instead she gives him a friendly smile.] Everyone should worry about freezing. And I don't like being cooped up all day. ... Night. Whatever.

Whatever. [That's... actually a good answer, and one he can relate to. Being stuck inside for too long always made him antsy, so he could understand.

It was still stupid, though.

About as stupid as him standing outside too, in a short sleeved shirt, while the snow gently flutters down around him. He's still got the video on, but he's stuck looking up at the sky, wondering.]

[Wow. You are SUPER RUDE. SHE'S JUST TRYING TO BE NICE AND YOU ARE BEING RUDE. WITH YOUR ONE ANSWER WORDS.]

Aren't you cold?

[So much for... divine anger.]
