[Giovanni turns on the device before setting it down on a raised surface before him and leans over it so that it shows just about only him in the picture and the open sky in what little background is available.]
Nothing is true, everything is permitted.
[He says this quietly as if musing more to himself than addressing the device and the people

Safety and Peace, Brother. [The greeting feels a bit weird on his tongue after not using it for a few centuries, but it's one every Assassin is taught and the other man should know it.]
Somehow I don't think this place will end up improving or providing much in the way of amusement. Now if how we arrived is any indication. [Someone's still sore about waking up in a freezer naked.]

Safety and peace, Fratello. [He nods slightly.]
A most unpleasant experience, yes. I am sorry you had to wake up in that drawer.

How did you know where I woke up?

I was there. [Only it wasn't you, was it.]

Just as you have 'interpreted' this place to mean something other than darkness and unkindness... Anything can be a blessing. I'm glad you found something to make you happy here. It's a good enough reason to be here whether scary or not, yes?

Sometimes it is a bit more complicated than that. [But enough of that.]
Grazie. It is nice to meet people such as yourself for I as well. [He has nothing left but this and places like it. For him, going home isn't actually an option unless he wants to finally rest.] Frankly, it is not so bad here. It's certainly better than where I was before.

He knows the phrase, distantly understands the meaning of them in the sense that he'd been told to learn from it, to embrace it. He knows much about the people who speak it, finds himself studying the person on the feed in silence - his expression hidden by the shadow of a baggy hood. ]
Buona sera. [ It's a calm greeting - not malicious or confrontational. Simple but careful, as he continues. ] Assassino. [ He takes another few seconds to study the person he's looking at, notes that his features are... familiar, if only in a second hand way. A family relation to someone Il Lupo knew or knew of, perhaps. Anything was likely in this place, he supposed. ]

I see you are familiar with the phrase, amico. [It's a polite way to start a conversation but moreover he's being cautious of other people listening in.]

Molto. [ There's a shift of his hood as his head dips forward, offering a nod in further confirmation. Still, he continues, voice low, polite. ] Though, this is the first time I have heard it spoken. [ He'd read it many times, had learned it and the creed it pertained to as he'd been directed. Had heard it in pieces but never as a whole. ]

He relaxes minutely. Conversation is easy.]
It is possible it was once shared by many... your knowledge of it shows that to some degree, it has not been forgotten. If for widely differing reasons now...
[That is to say: he realizes what you are. But this is okay. For now.]

Not much surprises him too much at this point.]
Well, I wouldn't want to be impolite and insult the creator of such a place. [Although from his tone it seems he really wouldn't care if he did or even had.] Though I could think of other terms to describe the place if you prefer a more accurate description.

There's no logic to this place. It's unsettling.

Possibly the exact reaction whoever or whatever brought us here is looking for. Or it could be merely eerie coincidence. [Though he doubts that by this point in time from what some people have said about certain things so far.]
