Look, I'm a big subscriber to the idea that if a thing works already, why would you change it?

You might be able to switch it back. For months there was a link on mine asking me if I wanted to switch to the new friends page and I never did. Now it's not there and I'm still on the old page, far as I know.

I think it was just that I wasn't logged in. Oh well!

Yup. That was what I was going to ask - anytime it logs me out, the hideous new design surfaces (look, LJ, if I wanted to look at facebook, I'd go... look at facebook).

I have enough trouble with Twitter and their infinite scrolling thing (why yes, my browser does struggle if you load too much webpage into it, thanks for testing that, Twitter).

I'm not doing too badly. Worrying about how the US election is going to go. Trump's not supposed to be doing well enough to win, but the polls suggested Brexit was going to fail too...

I've not been doing too badly! I've been more active on Twitter, though that's not saying much...

I managed to make mine stay normal. Can't remember how, but it's been a while since I was here much anyway. (Partly because of a terrible internet connection and partly because of too much happening in my life off-line).
